    I enjoyed watching Vikings, on Netflix. Thanks to this video, I have gathered great knowledge about the Norse myths, frequently referred to in the show. Great work!

      Thanks Sonika, I am glad you enjoyed it. Really interesting subject the Norse myths, I enjoy reading from pagan myth, something which is in a way alien to western christian society

Magic

The word is indeed Old Persian in origin (makuš or maguš). Magus was simply a Persian word for ‘priest’ and magia, consequently, was the art of cultivating the gods that had been established by Zoroaster Apuleius asserted that magus was actually the Persian word for ‘priest’.

Goddess Circe

Hecate or Hekate is a goddess in Ancient Greek religion and mythology, most often shown holding two torches or a key and in later periods depicted in triple form. She was variously associated with crossroads, entrance-ways, dogs, light, magic, witchcraft, knowledge of herbs and poisonous plants, ghosts, necromancy, and sorcery. Wikipedia.
