In order to understand the present it is essential to know about the past. Learning about our ancestors as well as about other civilisations that have not followed the “Western path” helps us to interpret modern and contemporary events.

The study of Ancient History, mythology, anthropology and other social science subjects allows us to comprehend the connections that exist among neighbours and far away cultures. It helps us to understand the influence that modern Western cultures received from alien civilisations such as the Mongols, Mesopotamians or Ancient Egyptians.
